Cloud, optimize resources and implement Treasury in an agile way

Balchem Italia, based in Marano Ticinese develops, produces and supplies quality products for the animal nutrition, human nutrition (vitamin supplements, hepatoprotectors), healthy food and pharmaceutical markets in Europe and the rest of the world. With a 2019 turnover of 66 million euros, Balchem Italia is a wholly -owned subsidiary of Balchem Corporation USA Group.

We choose the Cloud to implement Treasury solution quickly and remotely, optimizing internal resources and benefiting from Piteco’s expertise in the project implementation. We also plan to extend the Piteco Treasury project integrated with Microsoft 365 to our treasury divisions in Netherlands and Spain.

ERP: Microsoft Dynamics 365

In 2020, Balchem Corporation Group started a process of ERPs tuning in all Group companies. The choice was the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 suite, the ERP delivered in Cloud through Microsoft platforms, with a single deployment project managed by the US holding. Correspondingly with the management system change, Balchem Italia reconfirmed its former choice of Piteco as a partner and made the most of it by migrating to Piteco Cloud solution. That solution well satisfied the need to optimize internal resources and implement quickly and agile the Treasury platform, and all related services.

Piteco, a guarantee of integration with business processes

Within the Treasury project, the integration between Piteco platform and Microsoft Dynamics 365 was customer’s key request to satisfy.

Thanks to the partnership with the Microsoft partner Agic Technology, Piteco has a certified connector that allows a seamless and immediate integration of the Treasury suite with Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP.
The adoption of a Treasury solution certified by Microsoft – the Piteco connector is available on Microsoft’s AppSource – has enabled Balchem ​​Italia to speed up the Treasury project implementation and to comply to the policies of the American Corporate.
In a short time, operating remotely in compliance with the COVID restrictions in force, Piteco, Balchem ​​Italia and Balchem ​​USA teams empowered the Italian Treasury division to implement and start all Treasury activities, with a particular focus on payments processes optimization.

Remote working and treasury implementation

Piteco Operations team applies a consolidated project methodology, methods that have always guaranteed the efficient organization of projects, in respect of defined deadlines and clearly up to date with the new working tools”, underlines Michela Pisa, Operations manager Piteco Milano. We’ve carried out the main phases of the project remotely, up to the execution of the integration tests with the active participation of Balchem key users which turned to be successful on-the-job training. End-user training was also carried out remotely by involving them directly in the use of the system. To ensure the goals accomplishments and compliance with the work plan, we’ve organized 30 minutes meetings on weekly bases by involving all the actors discussing the problems in real time, analyzing new needs and developing together the best strategy and approach.

Piteco Connect

Agic Technology’s Piteco Connect solution joins the Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP with Piteco and consents an integrated and up to date management of processes in real time.

The consolidated experience Agic Technology and Piteco have in integration projects and the easy installation of Piteco Connect solution allow the customer to organize the integration between ERP and Treasury software in a very short time with a No-Code approach. Agic Technology has created and maintains integration solutions with Piteco for the Dynamics 365 family ERPs: Finance and Operation and Business Central.
